Bollywood is no longer standing alone as the leading film-making industry. In the past few years, the South and Punjabi film industry too has grown tremendously and has been arching some great films every year. But the new trend of actors collaborating and moving from one industry to another for better filmography has led to better scaling of films in every aspect. This merger of the artists has led to amazing and successful collaborations. Even though this is not a new concept, previously Sridevi has worked in almost every industry. Newbies Rakulpreet Singh and Pooja Hegde have been a part of almost as many as five industries. This concept has now proven to be beneficial for audiences to accept their favourite artists in every genre of film with their favourite filmmakers.

Shahid Kapoor's OTT debut with The Family Man Duo Raj and DK only calls for one term- Entertainment. The web series which was released this week has been performing exceptionally well. The web series stars Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Raashi Khanna, and Kay Kay Menon in prominent roles. This series marks Vijay Sethupathi's first Hindi show.

JAWAN

Jawan (film) - Wikipedia

Blockbuster Tamil director Atlee is teaming up with new action hero Shahrukh Khan for Jawan. The film also marks another Tamil superstar Nayantara's debut in Bollywood. The film also stars Priyamani (another south biggie) in a prominent role. The pan-Indian film is set to release in June 2023.

CITADEL

The Indian adaptation of the American series by the Russo Brothers stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. It marks the debut of a Tollywood actress in Hindi Cineworld. The original series stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci, Richard Madden, and Ashleigh Cummings. It is touted to be an action-packed series.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Katrina Kaif teams up for the first time with Vijay Sethupathi. The film supposed to be Vijay's debut film in Bollywood is helmed by Badlapur and Andhadhun director Sriram Raghavan. The crime thriller is supposed to be a 90-minute film with no interval. The bilingual film is set to release this year in Hindi and Tamil.

HEART OF STONE

Heart Of Stone Teaser Out! Alia Bhatt Shares First Rushes Of Her Hollywood Debut Alongside Gal Gadot & It Will Leave You Stunned
The collaboration doesn't restrict to the country but has crossed across borders. Alia Bhatt is set to star in Heart Of Stone along with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. The film is set to release on August 11 on Netflix.

Deepika Padukone is set to team up with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan for an upcoming science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin. The film that marks Deepika's Tollywood debut also stars Disha Patani in a prominent role. The film is mounted to be made on a whooping ₹500 crores making it one of the most expensive films ever made in India.

Apart from these, Janhvi Kapoor collaborating with Jr. NTR, Rashmika Mandanna with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal and Kriti Sanon with Prabhas in Adipurush are some collaborations we can look for. These collaborations are worth waiting for as they'll definitely break many box office records!

Male Gazing- Beshraram Rang, Ghungroo, Oo Antava...etc.

  Pathan is scheduled to release this coming Friday. But the controversy around it never ends. One such controversy is on the song Besharam Rang featuring Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan. Few political parties and netizens found the song to be vulgar and objectifying the female lead. Well, the song sung by Shilpa Rao and composed by Vishal Shekhar and has over 200 million views on the YouTube channel of YRF (Yashraj Developers) has been criticized for promoting male gazing, here's my analysis on male gazing and the portrayal of women in the songs of Indian films. Credits- Deepika Padukone from Besharam Rang (Pathan) Besharam Rang, according to me when it comes to music has a mediocre composition but it hardly objectifies women. Wearing a bikini in a foreign clad doesn’t make it any vulgar. The song, if carefully noticed has long and pan shots of Deepika in a bikini.
