SHAHRUKH KHAN- Not Finished?
Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan is shattering every other box office record and is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing film in the country. Bahubali 2 stands still with that record. It earned Rs. 511 crores and any film closest to that was KGF 2 last year (434 crores rupees). Pathan so far stands at around Rs.401 crores after a humongous second Saturday. It has surpassed Dangal’s collection and has a good chance to surpass KGF 2 by Monday. With 2 weeks more left before Shehzada releases (which was planned to release on 10th February, but has now been postponed for a week), there are high chances of Siddharth Anand's directorial crossing the lifetime collections of Bahubali 2.
This is Shahrukh Khan’s biggest hit after Chennai Express (2013). Post that he did taste success but not up to the mark of his standard. Shahrukh Khan reunited with his Jab Tak Hai Jaan costars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif for Aanand L Rai’s directorial Zero. The film had a lot of potentials to be a critical and commercial hit but badly tanked at the box office. Zero was Shahrukh Khan’s second consecutive flop after Jab Harry Met Sejal. He had only two sleeper hits to his credit in the last 7 years, Raees and Dilwale. Trade analysts and people assumed that the charm of SRK was finished. The charm which SRK had in his films was missed by his fans and with Pathaan, it has increased tremendously. Let's take a look at his upcoming releases of the Badshah in 2023 and analyze why he’s the ‘last of stars’.
JAWAN
Ace South director Atlee, South superstar Nayantara, talented actors like Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Sunil Grover and of course Shahrukh Khan, is there any other reason that would make this film not roar at the box office! The massy pan-Indian film has already garnered everyone's attention and people are too excited to watch the film on the big screen with Pathaan’s success, this film is sure to bring a lot of folks to the cinema halls. The film will release on 2nd June 2023.
TIGER 3
The collaboration everyone asked for finally happened. Tiger and Pathaan’s screen space surely made Salman-Shahrukh fans very happy. And the excitement doesn't end there. SRK will definitely be seen in Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. This will definitely help the third instalment of the Tiger series to rake in big numbers. SRK will soon start shooting for the same. The film is slated to release on Diwali 2023.
DUNKI
The only director who has given critical and commercial blockbusters is Rajkumar Hirani. And he is back after five years with Dunki. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu and will definitely bring back the ‘My Name is Khan’ level acting from Shahrukh Khan. The shooting of the film is currently going on in full swing. It is gearing up for a Christmas release this year and will be locking horns with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
The lineup of Shahrukh Khan is surely enough to prove that our beloved star is here to stay forever.
