Kantara (2022) is a Kannada language film written, directed and starring Rishabh Shetty as the lead is a commercial entertainer with lots of action, comedy and drama but with the tadka of folklore and traditions of Karnataka. Set in the 1990s world (with a few scenes from the past as well), it carries the essence of Mangalorean culture very well. Well, there are so many films, especially in the last 4 years have been popularized due to their core motive of striving culture as their main theme, Kantara sets itself ahead of the race to be remembered amongst the people for many years and sets itself as a case study for both- the filmmakers and the cine-goers.
